Single dose every 12 weeks, subcutaneously.

Onset: 2-3 weeks, Duration: up to 182 days.
Special Populations
- Patients with vertebral or cerebral metastases
- Diabetes mellitus
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Not indicated for use in females.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to leuprorelin or GnRH analogues
- Hormone-independent carcinomas
Common side effects
- Urinary tract infections
- Decreased libido
- Hot flushes
- Nausea
- Erectile dysfunction
Counselling Points
- Monitor PSA and testosterone levels
- Inform about potential side effects
- Advise on driving and machinery use due to fatigue
Serious warnings
- Initial testosterone rise may exacerbate symptoms
- Monitor for spinal cord compression
