Indication

Temporary relief of itching from minor skin irritations.

Dosage (summary)

Apply to affected area up to 4 times daily for max 7 days.

Special Populations

  • Children under 2 years
  • Children under 12 years for genital use

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Not recommended during pregnancy or lactation due to potential risks.

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to hydrocortisone
  • Vaginal discharge
  • External anal itching with bleeding
  • Nappy rash
  • Untreated infections
  • Pregnancy and lactation

Common side effects

  • Allergic reactions
  • Blurred vision
  • Skin atrophy
  • Hypopigmentation

Counselling Points

  • Apply a thin layer gently
  • Avoid contact with eyes
  • Do not use on broken skin
  • Report any adverse reactions

Serious warnings

  • Avoid prolonged use (>7 days)
  • Risk of adrenal suppression
  • Caution in facial dermatoses
