Indication
Temporary relief of itching from minor skin irritations.
Dosage (summary)
Apply to affected area up to 4 times daily for max 7 days.
Special Populations
- Children under 2 years
- Children under 12 years for genital use
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Not recommended during pregnancy or lactation due to potential risks.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to hydrocortisone
- Vaginal discharge
- External anal itching with bleeding
- Nappy rash
- Untreated infections
- Pregnancy and lactation
Common side effects
- Allergic reactions
- Blurred vision
- Skin atrophy
- Hypopigmentation
Counselling Points
- Apply a thin layer gently
- Avoid contact with eyes
- Do not use on broken skin
- Report any adverse reactions
Serious warnings
- Avoid prolonged use (>7 days)
- Risk of adrenal suppression
- Caution in facial dermatoses
