Indication

Dosage (summary)
50 mg weekly or 100 mg every 2 weeks for endometriosis; 150 mg every 3 months for contraception; 400-1000 mg weekly for cancer.
Special Populations
- Hepatic impairment
- Renal impairment
- Adolescents (post-menarche)
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Contraindicated in pregnancy; use with caution in breastfeeding after 6 weeks postpartum.
Key Drug Interactions
- Aminoglutethimide may decrease bioavailability
- Oral anticoagulants

- Hypersensitivity to medroxyprogesterone acetate
- Undiagnosed vaginal bleeding
- Severe liver impairment
- Thrombophlebitis
