Dosage (summary)

20 mg (1 tablet) once daily for up to 14 days.

  • Elderly

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Safety not established during pregnancy or lactation.

Key Drug Interactions

  • Clopidogrel
  • Warfarin
  • Digoxin

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to esomeprazole
  • Concomitant use with atazanavir or nelfinavir

Common side effects

  • Headache
  • Abdominal pain
  • Diarrhoea
  • Nausea

Counselling Points

  • Take whole with liquid, do not chew
