Dosage (summary)
Children: 20 mg/kg/day in divided doses; Adults: 400 mg initially, then 200-400 mg every 4 hours, max 1200 mg/day.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Contraindicated in third trimester; avoid in first and second trimesters; not recommended during breastfeeding.
