Insert one ring for 3 weeks, then remove for 1 week.

Contraindications
- Venous thrombosis
- Arterial thrombosis
- Severe hypertension
- Liver disease
- Undiagnosed vaginal bleeding
- Pregnancy
Common side effects
- Vaginal infection
- Headache
- Depression
- Breast tenderness
Counselling Points
- Check for ring presence regularly.
- Use barrier method if ring is expelled.
- Consult physician if mood changes occur.
Serious warnings
- Increased risk of venous thromboembolism
- Monitor for mood changes
- Risk of thrombosis with certain conditions
