Indication
Short-term treatment of mild to moderate pain and fever when oral route is unsuitable.
Dosage (summary)
Adults >50 kg: 1 g (100 mL) up to 4 times daily; <50 kg: 15 mg/kg up to 4 times daily.
Onset of Action / Duration
Onset: 15 mins, Duration: 4-6 hours
Special Populations
- Severe renal impairment
- Hepatic impairment
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Use in pregnancy only if necessary; caution in breastfeeding due to excretion in milk.
Key Drug Interactions
- Increased risk of hepatotoxicity with phenytoin
- Salicylates may increase nephropathy risk
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to paracetamol
- Severe hepatocellular insufficiency
- Children <33 kg

- Nausea
- Rash
- Hypersensitivity reactions

- Do not exceed recommended doses
- Monitor for signs of liver damage
- Report any skin reactions immediately
