Indication
Relief of pain, including obstetric and post-operative pain.
Dosage (summary)
Adults: 50-100 mg IM/SC/IV every 4 hours as needed; during labor: 50-100 mg IM every 1-3 hours.
Onset of Action / Duration
Onset: 10 mins, Duration: 3-5 hours

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Crosses placenta; may cause respiratory depression in newborns. Discontinue breastfeeding during treatment.
