Indication

Symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate dementia in Alzheimer's disease.

Dosage (summary)

Start at 5 mg once daily for 4-6 weeks, may increase to 10 mg once daily.

Onset of Action / Duration

Onset: 3-4 hours, Duration: Steady-state in 3 weeks.

Special Populations

  • Renal impairment
  • Hepatic impairment

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Safety in pregnancy and lactation not established.

  • Hypersensitivity to donepezil
