Dosage (summary)
1 injection (7.5 mg) every month, subcutaneously.

- Hypersensitivity to leuprolide acetate

- Previous orchiectomy
- Sole treatment in spinal metastases

- Hot flashes
- Nausea
- Fatigue
- Injection site irritation
Counselling Points
- Monitor for cardiovascular symptoms
- Consider antiandrogen therapy for initial testosterone flare
- Report any severe side effects immediately

- Risk of myocardial infarction
- QT prolongation
- Pituitary apoplexy
- Hyperglycaemia
