Indication
Mild to moderately severe infections caused by susceptible bacteria.
Dosage (summary)
Adults: 500 mg every 12-24 hours; Children: 7.5-20 mg/kg every 12-24 hours.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Safety in pregnancy and lactation not established.
Key Drug Interactions
- Inhibits vitamin K synthesis
- Nephrotoxicity with aminoglycosides
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to cephalosporins
- Children under 1 year

- Nausea

- Eosinophilia
