Dosage (summary)
1 tablet (12.5 mg) daily; up to 2 tablets (25 mg) daily with other antihypertensives.

- Renal impairment
- Hepatic impairment
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Not recommended in pregnancy or lactation due to potential risks.

- Digitalis glycosides

Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to hydrochlorothiazide
- Anuria
- Severe renal impairment
- Severe hepatic impairment
- Addisonu2019s disease
- Hypercalcaemia

- Hypokalaemia
- Dizziness
- Nausea
- Photosensitivity
- Electrolyte imbalances
Counselling Points
- Take in the morning to reduce nocturia
- Monitor for electrolyte imbalances
- Avoid sun exposure

- Risk of non-melanoma skin cancer
- Acute angle-closure glaucoma
- Hypotension with alcohol
