Indication
Treatment of schizophrenia and behavioral disturbances in dementia.
Dosage (summary)
Adults: Start at 2 mg/day, may increase to 4-8 mg/day. Elderly: Start at 0.5 mg twice daily.

- Renal impairment
- Hepatic impairment
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation; may cause neonatal withdrawal symptoms.
