Indication
Relief of nasal congestion from hay fever, allergic rhinitis, colds, and sinusitis.
Dosage (summary)
Adults: 1 spray in each nostril 2-3 times daily, max 3 sprays. Not for children under 12.

Onset: minutes, Duration: up to 10 hours
Special Populations
- Hypertension
- Cardiovascular disease
- Hyperthyroidism
- Narrow angle glaucoma
- Diabetes mellitus
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Safety in pregnancy not established; use in lactation only if advised by a doctor.
Key Drug Interactions
- Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs)
- Tricyclic antidepressants
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to xylometazoline
- Children under 12
- Prolonged use in chronic rhinitis
- Trans-sphenoidal hypophysectomy
