Dosage (summary)
50 mg orally as needed, 1 hour before intercourse; max 100 mg once daily.

- Renal impairment
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Not indicated for women; no studies in pregnant/lactating women.

- CYP3A4 inhibitors
- Alpha-blockers
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to sildenafil
- Concurrent use of nitrates
- Severe hepatic impairment
- Severe renal impairment
- NAION history
Common side effects
- Headache
- Flushing
- Dyspepsia
- Dizziness
- Visual disturbances
Counselling Points
- Take 1 hour before sexual activity
- Do not exceed recommended dose
- Seek medical help for prolonged erection
Serious warnings
- Serious cardiovascular events reported
- Risk of priapism
- Potential for hypotension
