Indication
Acute treatment of migraine with or without aura in adults.
Dosage (summary)
Initial dose: 2.5 mg; may increase to 5 mg if needed. Max: 10 mg in 24 hours.
Onset of Action / Duration
Onset: 1 hour, Duration: 4-6 hours
Special Populations
- Hepatic impairment
- Renal impairment
- Elderly patients
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Safety not established; not recommended during breastfeeding.
Key Drug Interactions
- Avoid other 5HT 1B/1D agonists within 12 hours
- Caution with SSRIs/SNRIs due to serotonin syndrome risk
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to components
- Severe hypertension
- Ischaemic heart disease
- Moderate to severe hepatic impairment

- Dizziness
- Nausea
- Somnolence
- Dry mouth
- Palpitations

- Take as early as possible during a migraine attack
- Do not exceed recommended dose
