Not established for pregnancy; contraindicated in breastfeeding.

- 6-Mercaptopurine
- Azathioprine
- Diuretics

Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to allopurinol
- Severe hepatic or renal disorder
- Acute gout attack

- Nausea
- Diarrhoea

- Hypersensitivity reactions

- Take after meals for GI tolerance
- Hydrate adequately
- Monitor for skin reactions
Serious warnings
- Risk of SJS/TEN
- Monitor renal function
- Avoid in acute gout attacks
