Indication

Prevention of venous thromboembolism and stroke reduction in atrial fibrillation.

Dosage (summary)

220 mg once daily for VTE prevention; 300 mg daily for atrial fibrillation.

Onset of Action / Duration

Onset: 1-4 hours, Duration: 12-14 hours

Special Populations

  • Renal impairment
  • Elderly

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Safety not established in pregnancy and lactation.

  • Strong P-glycoprotein inhibitors
  • Antiplatelet agents

  • Severe renal impairment
  • Active bleeding
  • Hypersensitivity
