Dosage (summary)
Adults: 50 mg once daily; East/Southeast Asians: 25 mg once daily. Adjust based on platelet counts.

- Polyvalent cations
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to eltrombopag
Common side effects
- Nausea
- Diarrhea
- Increased ALT
- Back pain
Counselling Points
- Monitor platelet counts regularly.
- Take at least 2 hours before or 4 hours after antacids.
- Report any signs of liver dysfunction.
Serious warnings
- Hepatotoxicity
- Thromboembolic events
- Risk of bleeding after discontinuation
