Indication
Stimulation of follicular development in women with severe LH and FSH deficiency.
Dosage (summary)
Start with 150 IU r-hFSH/75 IU r-hLH daily, adjust as needed.

- Elderly
- Renal impairment
- Hepatic impairment
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Not indicated during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Key Drug Interactions
- Concomitant use with licensed follitropin alfa preparations
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to active substances
- Tumours of hypothalamus/pituitary
- Ovarian enlargement/cysts of unknown origin
- Gynaecological haemorrhages of unknown origin
- Ovarian, uterine or mammary carcinoma
- Primary ovarian failure
- Malformations of sexual organs incompatible with pregnancy
Common side effects
- Headache
- Ovarian cysts
- Injection site reactions
- Mild to moderate OHSS
Counselling Points
- Monitor for signs of OHSS
- Discuss risks of multiple pregnancies
- Ensure proper training for self-administration
Serious warnings
- Risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS)
- Monitor for thromboembolic events
