Indication

Surgical anaesthesia and pain management.

Dosage (summary)

Adults: 50-150 mg for epidural; 1-60 ml for local infiltration. Max 2 mg/kg.

Special Populations

  • Renal impairment
  • Hepatic impairment

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Safety not established; may cause maternal and fetal toxicity.

  • CYP3A4 inducers

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to levobupivacaine
  • Severe renal impairment
  • Severe hepatic impairment

  • Hypotension
