Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to omeprazole
- Concomitant use with nelfinavir
Common side effects
- Headache
- Diarrhoea
- Nausea
- Dizziness
Counselling Points
- Take in the morning with water
- Do not chew or crush capsules
- Consult doctor if symptoms persist after 14 days
Serious warnings
- Risk of Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhoea
- Increased risk of bone fractures
- Severe hypomagnesaemia
