Indication
Prevention of rabies in all age groups.
Dosage (summary)
Pre-exposure: 3 doses (1 mL IM) on days 0, 7, 21/28. Post-exposure: 5 doses (1 mL IM) on days 0, 3, 7, 14, 28.
Special Populations
- Immunocompromised
- Patients with bleeding disorders
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Use in pregnancy and breastfeeding should weigh benefits against risks; post-exposure prophylaxis is not contraindicated.
