Indication
Treatment of generalized and partial epilepsy.
Dosage (summary)
Adults: Start at 600 mg/day, adjust to 1000-2500 mg/day. Children: 20-30 mg/kg/day.
Special Populations
- Elderly
- Renal impairment
- Hepatic impairment
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Contraindicated in pregnancy; high teratogenic risk. Not recommended during breastfeeding.
