250 mg three times daily; 500 mg for severe infections.
Special Populations
- Renal impairment
- Hepatic impairment
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Use with caution in pregnancy; may cause sensitization in breastfed infants.

- Allopurinol
- Tetracyclines
- Oral anticoagulants
- Methotrexate
- Oral contraceptives
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to amoxicillin
- Sensitivity to penicillins or cephalosporins
- Infectious mononucleosis
Common side effects
- Diarrhoea
- Nausea
- Skin rash

- Report any allergic reactions
- Maintain adequate fluid intake
- Monitor for signs of colitis
Serious warnings
- Serious hypersensitivity reactions
- Convulsions in renal impairment
- Antibiotic-associated colitis
