Indication

Emergency treatment of severe anaphylactic reactions.

Dosage (summary)

0.3 ml for adults/children >45 kg; 0.15 ml for children <45 kg.

Special Populations

  • Hyperthyroidism
  • Ischaemic heart disease
  • Arrhythmia
  • Tachycardia
  • Hypertension
  • Diabetes mellitus

  • Monoamine oxidase inhibitors
  • Alpha and beta blockers

Contraindications

  • Sensitivity to ingredients
  • Sensitivity to sulphites

  • Fear
  • Anxiety
  • Tremors
  • Tachycardia
  • Nausea

  • Administer immediately for life-threatening reactions

Serious warnings

  • Check solution for discoloration every 14 days
  • Accidental injection requires immediate hospitalization
