Initial dose 5 mg once daily, may increase to 10 mg after 10-14 days.

- Renal failure

Key Drug Interactions
- CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ketoconazole, clarithromycin)
- Simvastatin
- Grapefruit juice
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to dihydropyridines or amlodipine
- Concomitant use with grapefruit juice
Common side effects
- Dizziness
- Headache
- Palpitations
- Abdominal pain
- Flushing

- Monitor for dizziness and hypotension.
- Avoid grapefruit juice.
