Indication

Short-term relief of anxiety symptoms and treatment of anxiety disorders.

Dosage (summary)

Starting dose: 0.25-0.5 mg three times daily; max: 4 mg daily.

Special Populations

  • Elderly
  • Renal impairment
  • Hepatic impairment

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding due to potential risks.

Key Drug Interactions

  • Opioids
  • CYP3A4 inhibitors
  • Alcohol

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to benzodiazepines
  • Severe respiratory insufficiency
  • Myasthenia gravis

  • Sedation
  • Dizziness

  • Dry mouth
