Dosage (summary)
Adults: 10 mg before bedtime; Elderly: 5 mg recommended.

Onset: 30 mins, Duration: 6-8 hours

Not established; avoid in breastfeeding.

- Hypersensitivity
- Myasthenia gravis
- Sleep apnoea
- Severe hepatic insufficiency
- Children under 18

- Take immediately before bed
- Limit use to 4 weeks
- Monitor for dependence
