Dosage (summary)
40 mg IV once daily for GORD; 80 mg bolus for rebleeding, then 8 mg/hr infusion.

Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to esomeprazole
- Concomitant use with atazanavir or nelfinavir

- Headache
- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhoea
- Nausea

- Monitor for severe skin reactions
- Avoid use with clopidogrel
- Consider magnesium levels during long-term use
