Indication
Hormonal contraception.
Dosage (summary)
200 mg IM within first 5 days of cycle; subsequent injections every 8 weeks, then every 12 weeks.
Special Populations
- Breastfeeding women
- Diabetics
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Contraindicated in pregnancy; minimal transfer to breast milk.
