Dosage (summary)
Sintrine 4: 4 mg daily for ages 2-5; Sintrine 5: 5 mg daily for ages 6-14.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Not established; contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.

- Hypersensitivity to montelukast
- Children under 2 years (Sintrine 4)

- Upper respiratory infection
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Abdominal pain
- Skin rash
Counselling Points
- Take daily in the evening
- Do not substitute for corticosteroids abruptly
- Monitor for worsening asthma symptoms

- Not for acute asthma attacks
- Neuropsychiatric events
- Eosinophilia
