Not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to limited data.

Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to etifoxine
- States of shock
- Severe liver/renal impairment
- Myasthenia gravis
- Severe hepatitis
- Severe dermatological reactions
Common side effects
- Slight drowsiness
- Lymphocytic colitis
- Hepatitis
- Skin reactions
Counselling Points
- Avoid alcohol and CNS depressants
- Monitor for skin toxicity
- Do not exceed 8 weeks of treatment
