    Indication

    Treatment of HIV-1 infection and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) in high-risk adults.

    Dosage (summary)

    One tablet daily, with or without food.

    Special Populations

    • Renal impairment
    • Hepatic impairment

    Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

    Not recommended in pregnancy; avoid breastfeeding due to potential HIV transmission.

    Key Drug Interactions

    • Avoid with other tenofovir or emtricitabine containing medicines
    • Caution with nephrotoxic drugs

    Contraindications

    • Hypersensitivity to components
    • Creatinine CL < 60 mL/min for PrEP
    • Creatinine CL < 50 mL/min for treatment

    • Neutropenia
    • Dizziness
    • Diarrhea
