Indication

Individualized; max 40 kcal/kg/day, adjust based on clinical status.

- Do not administer simultaneously with blood

Contraindications
- Premature neonates
- Hypersensitivity to components
- Severe renal insufficiency
- Congenital amino acid metabolism disorders
Common side effects
- Tachycardia
- Hypertriglyceridemia
- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhea
- Nausea
Counselling Points
- Use immediately after opening
- Administer through central vein only
- Monitor for signs of infection or complications
Serious warnings
- Risk of fat overload syndrome
- Monitor for allergic reactions
- Pulmonary vascular precipitates
