Indication

Dosage (summary)
One tablet daily for 21 days, followed by a 7-day tablet-free interval.
Special Populations
- Elderly
- Diabetics
- Smokers over 35
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation; may reduce breast milk production.

- VTE history
- Severe hepatic disease
- Breast cancer
Common side effects
- Nausea
- Headache
- Depression
- Breast tenderness
Counselling Points
- Take at the same time daily
- Use barrier contraception if missed doses
- Report any severe headaches or vision changes
Serious warnings
- Increased risk of VTE
- Monitor for migraines
- Caution in smokers
