Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to omeprazole
- Known hypersensitivity to substituted benzimidazoles

- Headache
- Abdominal pain
- Constipation
- Diarrhoea
- Nausea
Counselling Points
- Take in the morning with half a glass of water
- Do not chew or crush capsules
- Report any decrease in urine volume or blood in urine
Serious warnings
- Risk of gastric malignancy
- Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhoea
- Acute interstitial nephritis
