Dosage (summary)
Herpes Zoster: 1000 mg TID for 7 days; Recurrent Genital Herpes: 500 mg BID for 5 days.

- Probenecid
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to valaciclovir or aciclovir

- Headache
- Nausea

- Maintain hydration
- Monitor renal function
- Discontinue if CNS symptoms occur
Serious warnings
- Risk of TTP/HUS
- CNS adverse reactions
- Acute renal failure
