Indication

Dosage (summary)

5 mg once daily, may increase to 10 mg once daily.

Special Populations

  • Renal impairment
  • Hepatic impairment

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.

Key Drug Interactions

  • Potent CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ketoconazole)
  • Anticholinergic drugs

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to solifenacin
  • Urinary retention
  • Uncontrolled narrow angle glaucoma
  • Myasthenia gravis
  • Toxic megacolon
  • Severe renal impairment
  • Severe hepatic impairment
  • Prolonged QT interval

Common side effects

  • Dry mouth
  • Constipation
  • Dizziness
  • Blurred vision
