Adults: 125-500 mg twice daily; Children: 125 mg twice daily.

Special Populations

  • Renal impairment

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Safety not established; excreted in breast milk.

Key Drug Interactions

  • Reduced efficacy of oral contraceptives
  • Avoid furosemide
  • Caution with aminoglycosides

  • Hypersensitivity to cefuroxime
  • History of severe hypersensitivity to beta-lactams
