Indication
Short-term treatment of severe insomnia in adults.
Dosage (summary)
Adults: 10 mg before bedtime (5 mg for elderly). Max 4 weeks.
Onset of Action / Duration
Onset: 30 mins, Duration: 6-8 hours
Special Populations
- Elderly
- Hepatic impairment
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation; may cause neonatal dependence.

Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to zolpidem
- Myasthenia gravis
- Sleep apnoea
- Severe hepatic insufficiency
- Children under 18
