- Hepatic impairment

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Safety in pregnancy not established; avoid breastfeeding to prevent HIV transmission.
Key Drug Interactions
- Avoid co-administration with stavudine, zalcitabine, and ribavirin.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to components
- Low neutrophil counts (< 0.75 x 10^9/L)
- Low hemoglobin levels (< 7.5 g/dL)
- Children under 12 years

- Anaemia
- Neutropenia
- Nausea
- Fatigue
- Headache
Counselling Points
- Adhere to dosing schedule.
- Report any signs of lactic acidosis.
- Continue precautions to prevent HIV transmission.
Serious warnings
