Indication
Reduction of elevated intraocular pressure in glaucoma and ocular hypertension.
Dosage (summary)
One drop in the affected eye(s) once daily, preferably in the evening.
Onset of Action / Duration
Onset: 3-4 hours, Duration: 24 hours
Special Populations
- Paediatric patients
- Elderly patients
- Patients with asthma
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Contraindicated in pregnancy; not established in breastfeeding.
Key Drug Interactions
- Additive effect with beta-blockers
- Avoid multiple prostaglandins
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to latanoprost or benzalkonium chloride
- Pregnancy
- Lactation

- Iris hyperpigmentation
- Eye irritation
- Eyelash changes
Counselling Points
- Remove contact lenses before use
- Monitor for eye color changes
- Avoid driving until vision clears
Serious warnings
- May cause macular oedema
- Caution in patients with herpetic keratitis
