Dosage (summary)

Adults: Lowest effective dose for max 5 days. Children: 25 mg/kg daily in divided doses.

Special Populations

  • Elderly
  • Renal impairment
  • Hepatic impairment

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Avoid in late pregnancy; not recommended during breastfeeding.

  • Gastrointestinal ulceration
