Indication

Dosage (summary)
Adults: 0.2 to 0.5 ml; Children: 0.1 to 0.3 ml.

- Monoamine oxidase inhibitors
- Non-cardioselective beta-blockers
- Halogenated anesthetics
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to sympathomimetics
- Ischaemic tissue necrosis risk in extremities

- Tachycardia
- Hypertension
- Anxiety
- Dizziness
Counselling Points
- Monitor continuously after administration.
- Avoid use in fingers/toes due to necrosis risk.
- Educate on signs of overdose.
Serious warnings
- Risk of severe hypertension and dysrhythmias
- Cerebral hemorrhage from IV use
