    Indication

    To reduce the risk of myocardial infarction and stroke.

    Dosage (summary)

    Adults: 100 to 300 mg daily, preferably after food.

    Special Populations

    • Elderly
    • Renal impairment
    • Hepatic impairment

    Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

    Contraindicated in first and third trimesters; avoid during lactation.

    Key Drug Interactions

    • Anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin)
    • Other NSAIDs
    • Methotrexate

    Contraindications

    • Hypersensitivity to aspirin
    • Peptic ulcers
    • Severe renal impairment
    • Severe hepatic failure
