Indication

Dosage (summary)
20-40 mg IV, repeat after 2 hours if necessary; initial 40 mg for pulmonary edema.
Onset of Action / Duration
Onset: 5 mins, Duration: 3-6 hours
Special Populations
- Elderly
- Renal impairment
- Hepatic impairment
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Not recommended during pregnancy; contraindicated in breastfeeding.

- Hypersensitivity to furosemide
- Severe renal disease
- Anuria
- Hypovolaemia

- Hypokalaemia
