Key Drug Interactions
- CYP3A4 inducers decrease efficacy
- CYP3A4 inhibitors increase plasma levels
- Warfarin may increase INR

- Hypersensitivity to gefitinib or excipients
- Pregnancy
- Breastfeeding
Common side effects
- Diarrhoea
- Skin reactions
- Interstitial lung disease
Counselling Points
- Take at the same time daily
- Do not double doses
- Report severe diarrhoea or respiratory symptoms

- Risk of interstitial lung disease
- Hepatotoxicity
- Monitor liver function
