Key Drug Interactions
- Increased digoxin levels
- Ciclosporin increases JANUVIA levels
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to sitagliptin
- Type 1 diabetes
- Severe hepatic insufficiency
Common side effects
- Hypoglycaemia
- Headache
- Upper respiratory tract infection
Counselling Points
- Monitor for signs of pancreatitis.
- Inform about potential hypoglycaemia.
- Take with or without food.
