Indication
Temporary prevention of itching of the eye due to seasonal allergic conjunctivitis.
Dosage (summary)
Adults and children (u22653 years): 1 drop in lower conjunctival sac twice daily.
Special Populations
- Children under 3 years
- Patients with dry eyes
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Safety in pregnancy and lactation not established; use with caution.
Key Drug Interactions
- CNS depressants
- Antihistamines
- Alcohol
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to ketotifen or ingredients
- Discolored or cloudy solution
Common side effects
- Conjunctival injection
- Headaches
- Rhinitis
Counselling Points
- Remove contact lenses before use
- Do not touch the applicator tip to any surface
- Discard after 60 days post-opening
Serious warnings
- Use only for ocular instillation
- May cause transient blurring of vision
